So normally my cooking gives gas, but thats another topic for another time... In our 2nd to last house we had a gas range, and I loved it. Loved it so much I moved it. Twice. Still have it, but don't have a gas hookup. In fact, the nearest gas line to our place is over a mile away.
The Range can be converted to propane. Would there be a noticeable difference in performance between running it on propane versus natural gas? Is it worth it to switch over, or should I just stick with the electric range we are using now?

(isn't there a product called Beano for your problem?) =)
first gas stove i ever had was in temproary housing in Laredo TX 40 years ago. damn thing scared me to death as it had the habit of exploding with a gigantic "whoooosh!" whenever i lit the oven (by match, no ignition) and so i never used the oven at all in the 3 months we were stationed there.
fast forward to this house, our first to be owned after 20 years in the AF. gas cooking stove piped to 2 propane tanks. i took several deep breaths and found that progress had been made in the decades that had passed, and i love it now. can't say whether natural vs propane has any issues, but i would think probably not. and if propane is the only way for you to have a gas stove where you are, i'd vote to go for it.

I used natural gas in my house in Texas (where every home seems to have a hookup) and have the same brand stove, only propane, here in North Carolina (where natural gas seems rare). I loved both, and would never never go back to electric. If you have the ability to hook up to propane, do it, but get a larger tank than you think you'll need. We added a propane instant water heater when we remodeled our bathroom, have a gas fireplace, hooked up a gas grill...in other words, we added a lot of stuff once we discovered how easy it was.
